Dressage

Dressage is a French term meaning "training" and it's purpose is to develop the horse's natural athletic ability and willingness to make him calm, supple and attentive to his rider.

Each horse is judged in the arena while riding a test that requires certian maneuvers to be performed in a specific place in the arena. Judges score each maneuver from 0 to 10, zero being "not executed", and 10 being "excellent". A score of 9 is a very good mark, while a competitor achieving all 6's, or 60%, should considor moving onto the next level.

Siena is a lovely Premium Oldenburg mare! She is built uphill and her gaits reflect that. She has a HUGE overstriding walk, nice trot with an active hind leg, and a loty canter. Siena is schooling Training level and has some experience on the trail as well as over jumps. Siena has just enough go to be competitive and fun. She bathes, ties, loads, etc.. with no issues. Barefoot and sound with no medical issues. She has had 1 foal as the result of an accidental breeding, and was a GREAT mom.
