Also know as reined cow horse, Working Cow Horse is judged where exhibitors are asked to work a single cow in the arena, while performing specfic maneuvers that include a reining pattern, circling a cow, and turing the cow on the fence. The competition consists of 3 phases reined work, fence work, and herd work. The highest compost score from all phases determines the overall winner. Horses are judged on responsiveness, accuracy, and timing and how well they handle that live cow.

Ranch Horse Pleasure
Ranch Horse Pleasure's main purpose is to showcase a working horse's movement, attitude, and versitility. The main consideration in Ranch Horse Pleasure is the horse's overall manners, responsiveness, and qualty of movement. The class shows the horses ability to work at a forward speed while remaning under control with light contact by the rider.
Judging is scored on the basis of 0 to 100, with 70 denoting an average performance. Penalties include: too slow, break of gait, wrong lead, blatant disobedience.

Ranch Sorting
Ranch Sorting was developed to showcase the ranch horses abilty to seperate and sort cattle into pens for branding, doctoring, or transport. Ranch Sorting pits a team of 2 people against the clock, while cutting out the correct cattle into the opposite pen, while keeping the unwanted cattle back.

Reining
Reining is a judged western discipline designed to show the athletic abilities of the cowboys ranch horse, and the confines of the show arena. The National Reining Horse Association has 13 approved patterns that include small slow circles, large fast circles, 360 degree spins, flying lead changes, roll backs over the horses hocks and the hallmark sliding stop that are always a crowd favorite.
The NRHA judging system is judged from 0-100 with a 70 denoting an average score. Each maneuver in the reining pattern recieves a score of +1 1/2 to -1 1/2, with half point increments with 0 indicating an average maneuver.

Scooter is making a GREAT bridle horse she is solid in Reining and on a cow. She has been used all over the ranch, roped on docotoring cattle. She has been hauled as a turn back horse ans is gelding minded. Suitable for any level rider.
